We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Meterperson Pre-Apprentice in Topeka, Kansas. Meterperson Pre-Apprentice It is understood and agreed the Pre-apprentice position is not a full time position and will not be filled on a full time basis. Successful applicants for this position will be expected to fill openings, within the first six months of their employment, in the apprentice training program specific to their wage schedule as a condition of employment. Employees who elect not to move into open positions, or who are not deemed qualified by the Company, will be discharged from the Company without recourse from the grievance procedure. The pre-apprentice will work under the direction of the journeymen on the crews. Qualifications The successful applicant must live within a 35 mile radius of the Topeka Operations Center.
