Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing and streamlining accounts payable processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting systems and a passion for detail-oriented work. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and review invoices, ensuring accurate account coding and timely payments. u2022 Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed. u2022 Utilize accounting software systems, such as Concur and ERP platforms, to manage financial data effectively. u2022 Prepare and maintain records for accruals, audits, and other financial reporting purposes. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve outstanding issues. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounts payable activities. u2022 Assist in implementing and improving automated processes, including ACH and other electronic payment systems. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable. u2022 Conduct periodic audits of accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and completeness. u2022 Provide training and guidance to team members on accounts payable processes and best practices. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as Concur, ERP platforms, or similar tools. u2022 Strong understanding of account coding, accrual accounting, and general accounting principles. u2022 Experience with automated payment systems, including ACH and other electronic methods. u2022 Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with auditing practices and financial compliance standards. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
