As a(an) Manager Emergency Department with Alaska Regional Hospital you can be a part of an organization that is devoted to giving back Job Summary and Qualifications As the Nurse Manager of Emergency Services you will be responsible for planning, administering, and evaluating the operations of the Emergency Department. You will collaborate with physicians to expedite information and manage throughput on cases ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients. In this Manager role: + You will have experience with role modeling and sustaining patient and family centered care and direct staff as they triage, assess and treat patients of all ages + You will demonstrate the ability to manage and coordinate patient care, maintaining departmental flow and directing the staff assignments as needed. + You will work with the Director on department staffing; hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling of staff. + You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure + You will develop and communicate a shared vision for the department consistent with the hospitals vision. + You will be skilled at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of staff performance and work with them on training and development accordingly. + You will have the ability to effectively coordinate functions with staff, physicians and other departments of the hospital with a focus on throughput based on the patientu2019s needs.
