Job Description Union: Yes Bargaining Unit/Local: International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 96 Rate Classification: Grade 4A - $31.56 per hour, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement Number of Positions Available: 1 What This Role is About: As a Pressure Technician I, youu2019ll support the safe and efficient operation of pressureu2011regulating equipment at our GSO (Gas System Operations) facilities. Working alongside experienced technicians, youu2019ll gain handsu2011on experience maintaining and operating essential gas system equipment that helps keep service reliable for our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical, handsu2011on work and wants to grow their skills in a structured, teamu2011oriented environment. _Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM (EST)._ What You'll Be Doing: u2022 Work under general direction of higher graded employee or supervisor, supporting daily operations and maintenance. u2022 Assist with the operation and maintenance of Gas System Operations (GSO) facilities, including regulator station maintenance and troubleshooting, confined space work, transmission valve maintenance, transmission service maintenance. u2022 Perform periodic inspections of stations to help ensure safety and reliability. u2022 Complete installation work for GSO facilities, including tubing, conduit, wiring, piping, and structural framework. u2022 Perform general station and site upkeep, such as yard/building maintenance, digging & manual labor, snow removal, and painting, grass cutting, & trimming. u2022 Interpret and use company records and documentation, including map books & station drawings. u2022 Communicate clearly and effectively through company radio, verbal instructions, and team coordination. u2022 Stock, equip, and maintain company vehicles to ensure tools & materials are ready for the job. u2022 Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition In addition to the activities described above: u2022May be assigned to related business support and administrative activities (ex. backend meter processing, backend corrosion processing, backend leak/damager prevention processing, peer safety observations, vehicle clean-out, cross functional training activities, etc.) u2022 Shift Work: As required. Will report to various company facilities as required. Overnight travel may be required. u2022 Use Of Personal Vehicle: As required u2022 Medical Card required for vehicle >10,000 lbs. What You Bring: u2022 High School Diploma/GED Formal technical training preferred. u2022 At least 18 months of hands-on technical experience, using tools (mechanical or pipefitting work; equipment installation or maintenance; pumps, compressors, automotive or small engine repair; HVAC, plumbing, or regulator maintenance. u2022 Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of math, physics, electronics, and gas systems (including the ability to smell odorized natural gas). u2022 Ability to read basic maps, drawings, and technical documents. u2022 Intermediate computer skills, including data entry, file management, creating/updating documents or spreadsheets, and sending emails with attachments. u2022 Valid driveru2019s license Testing, Training & Certifications: u2022 Ability to pass required assessments and entryu2011level pressure operations testing u2022 Willingness and ability to complete all required training, Operator Qualifications, safety training, and certifications u2022 Ability to pass the Pressure Technician II exam within 18 months of hire Please note that current union members will receive priority on these vacancies, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
