CAD SpecialistOffice Furniture CenterLocation: Chicago, IL 60644Hours: 8:00-5:00pm, Mon-Fri, Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 annually with bonus potentialBenefits:Insurance - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance Retirement Plan Participation (401K)Paid Time Off, HolidaysCareer growthCommunity activities, Summary:The CAD Specialist supports the retail and wholesale sales teams by creating detailed workstation (systems furniture / cubicle) designs, pricing, specifications, and bill of materials in response to client needs. Knowledge of systems furniture is helpful but not required. Strong AutoCAD skills and computer technologies, with attention to detail, creative thinking are important to your success. We’re seeking a technically skilled, organized, and motivated professional who enjoys turning ideas into buildable, accurate designs. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly across departments, and takes pride in precision and follow-through.As the CAD Specialist, you will play a key role in transforming client requirements into accurate 2D and 3D layouts, renderings, quotations, and order documentation. This position works both independently and cross-functionally with sales representatives, marketing, inventory specialists, and fulfillment teams.Responsibilities:Interpret client requirements and identify appropriate inventory solutionsDevelop accurate 2D and 3D workstation layouts using AutoCADCreate high-quality renderings using rendering softwareGenerate detailed quotations using company softwareProduce complete Bills of Materials (BoM) from finalized designsCreate product part lists to support order fulfillmentQualifications1-3 years of design-related experienceProficiency in AutoCAD (required)Experience with image rendering toolsStrong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPointStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent problem-solving and creative thinking skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsCommercial office furniture experience (preferred)Associate’s degree in CAD, Mechanical Drafting, Engineering, or related field (preferred)About us:Office Furniture Center (OFC) is an affiliate of Wurkwel Ventures and operates the largest showroom of value-priced office furniture in the Midwest and serves as a trusted resource for local businesses and dealers seeking premium pre-owned and remanufactured office furniture.
