This role ensures accurate tracking of project costs, invoices, and revenues while assisting with month-end close, financial statements, and compliance with GAAP. This role works closely with project managers and accounting leadership to monitor budgets, analyze variances, and support the financial performance of construction projects.Maintain accurate job cost accounting, including tracking labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and overhead by projectRecord and reconcile general ledger transactions in accordance with GAAPAssist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportingPrepare and analyze work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and support percentage-of-completion revenue recognitionReview project budgets and costs; identify and investigate cost variancesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable, including subcontractor payments and progress billingsSupport project billing, retainage tracking, and change order accountingReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accountsAssist with external audits, internal audits, and tax filings as neededEnsure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standardsCollaborate with project managers and operations teams to provide financial insight and reportingMaintain organized accounting records and support continuous improvement of accounting processesAssist with special accounting projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assignedBA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred.Minimum of 5 years experience in Construction accounting preferred, or work experience demonstrating advance accounting and analytical capabilities.Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.Sales and Use tax reporting Vista Viewpoint ERP experience preferredFixed asset and lease reporting Compensation Range: Minimum annual base salary $80,000 to maximum annual base salary $95,000Other Compensation: position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
