If you are an attentive listener, fast-thinker, and problem-solver, with the ability to relate to different people, you are a match for CCS.As a Pharm Tech III, You will processprescription orders while ensuring that the third party adjudications process is complete, troubleshoots and NDC changes on prepared orders, batches and collates patient paperwork, pulls correct medications, fills pharmacy orders, and assists in the packing and shipping of prescriptions.The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager, Pharmacy.Possesses a strong pharmacy knowledge base including translation of sig codes, product selection, basic knowledge of brand and generic drugs by nameMust be familiar with processing queues, completing department To-Do’s and processing prescription refillsPerforms administrative functions of sorting, scanning and filing prescriptionsCompletes daily cycle counts and reconciles inventoryMaintains a working knowledge of assigned specific pharmacy area/functions as well as cross training in other areas throughout the pharmacy as indicated by managementPrepares, packages and affixes proper auxiliary labels on a timely basis specifying name of drug, strength, route of administration and quantityPlaces proper paperwork along with an initialed shipping slip and the medication all together for the pharmacist approvalInventories and restocks the pharmacy when supplies diminish, including checking in/putting away the order in its proper place in a timely fashionAssembles boxes for shipment and stocking supplies used to shipPerforms all functions associated with the returns and destroys processPerforms the functions associated with packing a medication order upon completion of pharmacist final check.Completes expiration dating review of all medications on a scheduled basis or at each restocking period and quarantine medications for destructionWorks with vendors and wholesalers and performs functions associated with inventory controlProcesses prescriptions while ensuring that the third party (insurance) adjudications process is complete in accordance with CCS protocolResolves insurance rejections and perform test claimsPerforms data entry of new and refill prescriptionsCompletes medication intake form for new patients or changes for existing patientsMaintains a complete understanding of prescription processing including: data entry, creation of shipment schedules, verification of insurance and patient eligibility, prescriber calls for prescription refills, intake of refill Rxs from prescriber, generation and collation of processed queuesAnswers inbound patient-related calls and makes outbound patient-related callsMaintains a working knowledge of assigned specific pharmacy area/functions as well as cross training in other areas throughout the pharmacy as indicated by managementContacts doctors’ offices to request new prescriptions for pharmacy patientsCourteously assists all customers, internal and externalAchieves stated goals and objectives as outlined by managementsMaintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive informationMaintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the departmentFollows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirementsAbides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standardsExercises appropriate cost control measuresMaintains positive internal and external customer service relationshipsMaintains open lines of communicationPlans and organizes work effectively and ensures its completionMeets all productivity requirementsDemonstrates team behavior and promotes a team-oriented environmentActively participates in Continuous Quality ImprovementRepresents the organization professionally at all timesHigh School diploma or GED with 4+ years working as a Pharmacy Technician (inbound/outbound call center experience preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust maintain in good standing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the stateMust possess PTCB certificationMaintain all required continuing education for licensure and certificationAbility to speak effectively with patients and doctors offices during callsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
