Job Description

IMMEDIATELY HIRING HIRING NOW The Shipping Clerk plays a key role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and on-time shipment of products from the facility. This position is responsible for pulling and consolidating inventory, preparing outbound orders, operating small parcel shipping systems, and maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records. The role requires strong attention to detail, safe material handling practices, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision on a late first-shift schedule. Responsibilities + Pull product from stock and move or consolidate inventory from storage locations to the shipping area drop zone to support on-time delivery goals. + Verify product identification, confirm customer requirements, and follow established procedures to prevent product mixes or contamination. + Accurately transfer product to storage shelves and put away inbound freight, as well as parts moved throughout the facility. + Read and understand routers to ensure correct handling, routing, and processing of product. + Consolidate product accurately by transferring items between locations and containers as required. + Re-bag product to match customer-required quantities, including manual packing, operating manual packaging devices, and using part weight scales to determine counts. + Perform inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and support inventory control. + Move product safely throughout the plant using an electric power jack or hand pallet jack, including lifting containers from one skid to another and transferring product between container types while following all safety requirements. + Use various computer programs and electronic devices to retrieve, print, and document transactions, ensuring accurate traceability of product and shipments. + Complete all required shipping, inventory, and quality documentation accurately and without error. + Run the small package shipping area, including processing shipments through carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and similar services. + Collaborate with the PIC (Person in Charge) in pulling product and preparing orders. + Prepare outbound skids by using banding equipment and wrapping machines to secure loads for shipment. + Participate actively in team meetings and work cooperatively with team members to achieve department and company goals. + Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance processes, efficiency, and accuracy within the shipping area. + Actively participate in the 5S program to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area. + Work with minimal supervision and independently perform the full scope of shipping duties as assigned. + Perform other shipping, receiving, forklift, inventory control, and data entry tasks as assigned to support overall warehouse and logistics operations. Essential Skills + High school diploma or GED. + Ability to read and understand routers and follow written procedures accurately. + Good verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and document information clearly. + Basic math skills to verify counts, weights, and quantities. + Ability to use basic computer systems and electronic inventory tools to retrieve, print, and document transactions. + Capability to operate an electric power jack and hand pallet jack safely. + Strong attention to detail to prevent product mixes, contamination, and documentation errors. + Ability to work with minimal supervision and independently manage daily shipping tasks. + Physical ability to lift and maneuver 35 pounds on a skid multiple times per hour. + Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and from waist to floor. + Ability to stand throughout the entire work shift and maintain the visual acuity needed for detailed work Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Doylestown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
