Whatu2019s a typical day as an Assembly Worker? Youu2019ll be: + Planning assembly procedures and positioning parts, either by following blueprints/specifications or using unit knowledge. + Removing small quantities of metal to clean parts or to achieve a close fit. + Fastening parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. + Installing moving parts, testing for free movement, and aligning or meshing control valves as needed. + Installing piping or wiring as required by the assembly process. + Testing or assisting in testing the operation of completed products. + Packing and labeling products according to customer expectations. + Participating in forklift training (if applicable) and adhering to all safety requirements. + Using proper lifting techniques and understanding emergency procedures. This job might be an outstanding fit if you: + Have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Are comfortable standing, using hands, reaching, walking, sitting, talking, or hearing throughout your shift. + Can frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. + Possess basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. + Have the ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence. + Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Are a dedicated team player, self-starter, and flexible in adapting to changing tasks and schedules. + Are safety-conscious and willing to participate in hazard communication training.
