Our client, a global manufacturing and life sciences company , is seeking a Project Engineering Piping / Mechanical Designer to join their Engineering team at the Bayer site in Muscatine, IA. This role supports capital projects and plant modifications, working closely with Project Engineers, Planners, and Construction Field Coordinators. The ideal candidate is a technically strong, selfu2011directed designer with experience in industrial environments and the ability to translate field conditions into accurate, buildu2011ready drawings. Job Title: Project Engineering Piping / Mechanical Designer Location: Muscatine, IA (Onsite u2013 Bayer Plant) Pay Range: $53.43 u2013 $61.00 per hour (DOE) Whatu2019s the Job? + Develop site plans, equipment layouts, piping plans, and piping isometric drawings to support capital and maintenance projects. + Produce detailed engineering and construction drawings suitable for bidding, fabrication, and field installation. + Update, verify, and maintain asu2011built drawings to accurately reflect field conditions and modifications. + Review field installations to ensure compliance with design intent, Bayer standards, and applicable regulatory requirements . + Collaborate with crossu2011functional project teams to support design reviews, planning activities, and project execution . Whatu2019s Needed? + Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent handsu2011on industry experience. + Strong proficiency in AutoCAD , with demonstrated experience in piping and mechanical layout design . + Working knowledge of mechanical and civil design practices , including relevant codes and regulations (OSHA, ASME, ADA). + Experience with field verification and surveying , including Leica point cloud or similar technologies. + Ability to work independently and onu2011site in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
