Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments for construction-related projects. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and validate invoices while ensuring proper coding and accuracy. u2022 Perform regular check runs to facilitate timely payments to vendors and suppliers. u2022 Verify invoice details and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams. u2022 Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions for auditing purposes. u2022 Assist in reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports as needed. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all payment processes. u2022 Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries or payment issues. u2022 Support the team in streamlining accounts payable processes and workflows. u2022 Monitor deadlines to prevent delays in payment cycles. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Strong knowledge of invoice coding and processing procedures. u2022 Familiarity with check runs and payment cycles. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. u2022 Proficiency in using accounting software and tools. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. u2022 Knowledge of construction industry practices is a plus but not required.
