Details: --> We have an outstanding Contract position for a Logistics Support Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Daleville, AL surrounding area.Responsible for executing all logistics-related functions, including data extraction and analysis, order fulfillment, inventory management, forecasting, replenishment, shipping, and receiving.Responsibilities:Support customer requirements with an emphasis on outstanding customer satisfactionReceive, validate, and fulfill customer parts request orders for the fleetAccurately process and deliver orders within contractual timeline requirementsProduce, consolidate, and report logistic metrics to the site manager, as requiredExtract and analyze programmatic data to meet contractual metricsCoordinate logistics efforts with overall program efforts Issue, receive, and coordinate the repair of Government Property (GP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and company policiesEstablish and maintain Min/Max stock levels and recommend changes based on historical usage and forecastingEnsures the processing of inventory and picking procedures are accomplished accuratelyCreate, update, and optimize bin locations for maximum efficiency (picking) and inventory controlPerform cycle counts, as requiredMaintains appropriate files and records, as per company policyEnsures accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments; verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other recordsCreate and process sales orders, repair sales orders, and transfer orders in SAP, as requiredProperly dispose of scrap partsPackage parts for storage or shipment; including Dangerous Goods (DG)Track, request and receive required core return parts from customerRequires infrequent travel (Requires 'on-call' dutyRequires weekend workNo supervisory or budget responsibilitiesFollows prescribed processes and proceduresDevelop new procedures, identify problems, and recommend solutions to fulfill program objectivesDivulging of confidential and/or sensitive information could lead to lawsuitsErrors may lead to high risk of major damage to the organizationAuthority to conduct work with US government ITAR/EAR controlled informationAuthority to act with site manager approvalConstant communication with CSRs and Material Management teamProduce, manage, control, and retain documents, as per appropriate policesBasic Hiring Criteria:Associate's Degree or higher and/or 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or business management requiredThorough knowledge of logistics and supply chain functions with an Associate's Degree in logistics, supply chain, or business management, and/or 5 years of logistics, supply chain, and/or business management experience desiredExtensive knowledge of SAP operations desired; Minimum of 1 year SAP experience desiredIntermediate level experience with Microsoft Office suite required; to include MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint; Good keyboarding skills required; comprehensive knowledge of MS Excel desiredAbility and desire to learn new software programsAble to work independently, with minimal guidanceCurrent DOT HazMat (Hazardous Materials) Transportation Certification; or able to obtainCurrent Forklift certification; or able to obtainStrong written and oral communication skillsFEDEX shipping station and software useMust be able to pass background investigation and obtain access to controlled, government facilityThis position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to US national security-based export control requirements.
