Description We are looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting attorneys with civil litigation matters, legal research, and case preparation. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in legal procedures and a commitment to excellence in the field of law. Responsibilities: u2022 Draft and prepare various legal documents, including briefs, motions to dismiss, and motions to change venue. u2022 Issue subpoenas and manage the process of obtaining necessary legal documents. u2022 Prepare and file summons and other court-related paperwork. u2022 Conduct in-depth legal research, utilizing CaseLaw and other resources specific to the jurisdiction. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys to organize and manage discovery processes. u2022 Assist with bankruptcy filings and creditor-related cases, ensuring adherence to legal standards. u2022 Support litigation efforts involving residential real estate and mortgage lending matters. u2022 Manage court filings and ensure that all documentation is submitted accurately and on time. u2022 Maintain close communication with legal teams to ensure seamless case management.
