JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Understand and perform to allapplicable regulatory and compliance requirements. Perform testing, asscheduled. Support sample evaluation and processing, as needed. Performon-call, weekend, and holiday work, as scheduled. Perform reagentpreparation, as scheduled. Operate, troubleshoot, and perform routinemaintenance and calibration on equipment. Support customer inquiries viaphone, email, and lab information system (LIS). Support the maintenanceof reagent and supply inventory. Maintain sample integrity and ensureproper identification of all specimens. May participate in validations.May support training, as assigned. Maintain organization of departmentalrecords, as needed. May assist in educating fellows, residents,students, and visitors to the laboratory. May support preparation ormanagement of proficiency samples in the laboratory. May release resultsin accordance to training and compliance requirements. Review daily workfor accuracy and escalate as appropriate. May provide support fortransfusion product selection, as applicable. Performs other duties asrequired or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the dutiesin this job classification Understands and performs in accordance withall applicable regulatory and compliance requirements Complies with allstandard operating policies and procedures Qualifications EducationBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in biology,chemistry, molecular biology, immunology, clinical laboratory science,medical technology, or related field. required Associate's Degree in alaboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accreditedinstitution. required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to readand interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safetyrules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other departmentmanuals. Must have basic mathematical aptitude. Ability to applyjudgment to detailed and structured written or oral instructions.Ability to organize work to provide efficient and productive workflow.Flexibility to work independently and with a team. Must have strongattention to detail. Must have basic communication skills. Possesslegible handwriting.
