Job Title

The Pathology Assistant position requires comprehensive knowledge of Anatomic Pathology processes, scientific principles, practices, concepts, and theories providing or sound independent work. Responsibilities: + Gross all biopsy specimens. + Assist and instruct residents in grossing large biopsy and surgical specimens. + Provide photography services for gross room. + Assist and instructs residents in performing frozen sections. + Assist with autopsies. + Assist in the accessioning of specimens coming into the gross room. Minimum Requirements: + Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Anatomic Pathology processes, scientific principles and practices, concepts, and theories providing for sound independent work. + At least one year of working experience as a Pathology Assistant preferred. + Certification by the American Association of Pathologistsu2019 Assistants or other national accrediting agency preferred. + Bacheloru2019s Degree in biological science or related field preferred. + Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
