Entry Laboratory Science Professional Description University of Colorado Anschutz Department: Pediatrics - Section of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant Job Title: Entry Laboratory Science Professional Position #: 00846508 - Requisition #: 39630 Job Summary: Key Responsibilities: + Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders to carry out laboratory and research functions. + Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects. + Perform experiments to generate data in line with the research project. + Assist in the review and implementation of lab support policies, practices, and programs to meet organizational, operational, and management needs. Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or a related field. + Prior experience presenting at a professional conference or university symposium. + Prior experience or background within an experimental or wet lab (e.g., cell culture, CAR T cells synthesis and design rodent models, molecular biology techniques). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques, including safety procedures and techniques. + Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. + Ability to work collaboratively within a team. + Knowledge of basic core concepts of biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and chemistry. + Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information. + Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
