Job#: 3029103Job Description:Platform EngineerLocation: Columbus, OH or Dallas, TX (4 days in office, 1 day remote)Pay Range: $45/hr-$55/hr based on experienceSummary:We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer who will be part of the Platform team managing the Data Science platform.Job Responsibilities:u2022 Support ongoing Data Science Infrastructure operations.u2022 Develop and deploy AWS environments using CI/CD processes for a rapidly growing team of Data Scientists.u2022 Manage and support large-scale environments to meet the needs of current and future Data Science teams.u2022 Champion and mature the environment by implementing and overseeing the image management lifecycle process.u2022 Assist in setting up and managing AWS accounts specifically for the Data Science platform.u2022 Provide hands-on development using CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps.u2022 Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for environment setup and management.u2022 Develop scripts and applications using programming languages such as Python.u2022 Manage database technologies including Athena, Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres.u2022 Leverage AWS services essential for Data Lake, Data Science, AI/ML teams.u2022 Handle and resolve requests from development and business users, addressing any roadblocks.u2022 Manage secured infrastructure, enforce security measures, and apply necessary guard rails.u2022 Resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities within SLAs and maintain audit logs.u2022 Perform system upgrades and patching, providing on-call support as needed.u2022 Conduct root cause analysis and knowledge transfer sessions with the internal team.u2022 Collaborate with Network, Database, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to align on projects and strategies.Basic Qualifications:u2022 Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.u2022 2+ years experience in Data Science Infrastructure.u2022 2+ years extensive experience with Data Lake, Data Science, and AI/ML services hosted on AWS infrastructure.u2022 2+ years working knowledge of the following technologies:o Kuberneteso AWS services such as SageMaker, Glue, Lambda, Athenao CI/CD tools like Azure DevOpso IaC tools like Terraformo Docker and ECR (Elastic Container Registry)o Security tools like AQUA and Kennau2022 2+ years experience in technical write-ups.Preferred Qualifications:u2022 AWS and Terraform certified professionals.
