Data Entry Clerk Part-time - Northampton Salary Range - $20.00 Hourly Position Type - Part-time Job Shift - Open Availability Requires open availability, including evenings and weekends. Status: Reports to the Category Assistant Manager - Perishables Pay Level: II, non-exempt. Purpose: To support the Produce Department and Category Assistant Manager - Perishables by ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent data entry and maintenance within the Point of Sale (POS) system. The Data Entry Clerk is a detail-oriented and highly organized team member responsible for entering, updating, and auditing product and pricing data, with a primary focus on supporting the Produce Department and Category Assistant Manager ? Perishables. This role focuses on maintaining item accuracy, pricing integrity, and cost data, allowing department teams to operate efficiently and meet margin and merchandising goals. The position plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in supporting daily store operations through strong attention to detail and reliable execution. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency and focus. Ability to meet weekly deadlines and time-sensitive updates. Comfortable working independently with clear direction. Ability to communicate clearly with team members across departments. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality. FUNCTIONAL Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Repetitive use of hands for typing and data entry. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. PREFERRED Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems, pricing systems, or inventory processes. Understanding of margin, costing, or pricing structures. Natural and local foods (retail, wholesale). The ability to speak Spanish, French, or Swahili is a plus.
