Want to help protect AWS from emerging fraud vectors and make a direct multi-million-dollar impact to Amazon's bottom line? Come join the AWS Payments & Fraud Prevention team as a Senior Product Manager - External Services, you will own fraud prevention strategy for AWS customer signup and AI services.We are seeking a product leader who will be the single-threaded owner for two of the fast evolving fraud domains in AWS — account signup abuse and AI services fraud. You will balance two critical objectives: making legitimate customer onboarding as frictionless as possible while blocking bad actors who want to commit fraud or abuse our free tier offerings at scale. Simultaneously, you will build a comprehensive strategy and implement durable mechanisms to protect AWS AI services like Bedrock and Kiro from fraudulent activity. The ideal candidate combines strong fraud or security domain knowledge with product management expertise and a proven track record of delivering products at scale.Key job responsibilitiesAWS Account Signup Fraud PreventionOwn end-to-end fraud prevention strategy for AWS account signup. Define how risk signals are evaluated and acted upon to block fraudulent accounts before they gain access to AWS services. Drive protection against bot-driven free tier abuse, partnering with data science and engineering to continuously improve detection accuracy and reduce fraudulent activity at the point of registration.AI Services Fraud PreventionDefine end-to-end fraud prevention product strategy for AI services. Build policy frameworks and mitigation mechanisms that create durable protection and mitigate AI services fraud. Product Strategy & IterationDrive product evolution through data-driven decision making. Synthesize quantitative performance metrics — fraud rates, false positive rates, and enforcement accuracy — with qualitative feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities. Define product roadmaps that balance fraud prevention effectiveness with customer experience.Cross-Functional LeadershipPartner with Identity, AWS service teams, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Science to drive decision making. Influence without authority across engineering, science, and product organizations. Represent account signup and AI services fraud prevention efforts in executive-level reviews.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience- Experience taking a product from conception and definition through engineering design and to market- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition, with end-to-end product delivery- Acts as an owner, removing obstacles and doing what's necessary to solve problems and delight customers- Ability to navigate ambiguity independently and drive clarity where none exists- Experience using AI tools to accelerate product development, research, and decision-makingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in fraud prevention, trust & safety, or security domains- Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML products that solve complex customer problems at scale- Track record of influencing cross-functional roadmaps across engineering, science, and security teamsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
