THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:The Engineer - Depot Services is a hands-on position that is responsible for support of technology in the stores including but not limited to; mobility devices, iPods, iPads, mobile printers, POS registers, salon stations, manager workstation, hard drives and associated administrative duties in our highly collaborative and fast paced environment. The Engineer manages the implementation of technical solutions to support business initiatives and long-term strategy in alignment with the corporate roadmap.YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:Analytics: The validation and analysis of significant volumes of data, including the ability to discover and quantify patterns and trends in numbers, symbols, text, sound and image. Relevant techniques may include statistical and data mining algorithms and machine learning methods such as rule induction, artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms and automated indexing systems.Asset Management: The management of the lifecycle for all managed assets (hardware, software, intellectual property, licenses, warranties etc.) including security, inventory, compliance, usage and disposal, aiming to protect and secure the corporate assets portfolio, optimizing the total cost of ownership and sustainability by minimizing operating costs, improving investment decisions and capitalizing on potential opportunities. Knowledge and use of international standards for asset management and close integration with security, change, and configuration management are examples of enhanced asset management development.Capacity Planning: Capacity planning is a process through which the procurement of IT resources, infrastructure and services are planned over a specific period of time. It is an IT management practice to predict and forecast the future requirements of an enterprise IT environment and its associated essential entities / services / components.Customer Service Support: Monitors and perform requests for service, following agreed procedures. Promptly allocates calls as appropriate. Records incidents and service requests and maintains relevant records, inform users about the process and advises the relevant persons of actions cident Management: The processing and coordination of appropriate and timely responses to incident reports, including channeling requests for help to appropriate functions for resolution, monitoring resolution activity, and keeping clients updated on progress towards service restoration.Problem Management: The resolution (both reactive and proactive) of problems throughout the information system lifecycle, including classification, prioritization and initiation of action, documentation of root causes and implementation of remedies to prevent future incidents.Quality Assurance: The process of measuring and assuring the quality of programs, projects and ongoing services. These processes focus on defect prevention, while Testing focuses on defect identification and remediation. The development, maintenance, control and distribution of quality standards. Service Level Management: The planning, implementation, control, review and audit of service provision, to meet business requirements. This includes negotiation, implementation and monitoring of service level agreements, and the ongoing management of operational activities to provide the agreed levels of service, seeking continually and proactively to improve service delivery targets.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the prioritization and diagnosis of incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Manages the escalation of unresolved incidents. Coordinates recovery, following resolution of incidents. Manages the documentation and closure of resolved incidents according to documented procedures.Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues within realm of support.Liaises as the point of contact, receiving and handling requests for support. Investigates to provide diagnosis and allocate unresolved issues as appropriate. Contributes to creation of support documentation.Utilize excellent customer service skills to engage users and business partners.Reviews and maintains the service compliance of all IT and service assets in line with business and regulatory requirements involving knowledge of financial and technical processes, tools and techniques.Assesses analyses, creates, documents, presents and implements changes based on requests for change.Creates defined tasks to monitor service delivery against service level agreements and maintains records of relevant stalls or removes hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools. Carries out tests, corrects malfunctions, and documents results in accordance with documented procedures. Reports details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated. Aids users in a professional manner following agreed procedures for further help or escalation.Manage internal and external vendor relationships.Participate in a wide range of IT and Business projects.Evaluate business operations for opportunities to improve systems performance.Subject matter expert (SME) for retail component including but not limited to network devices, point of sale hardware, PC's, kiosks, and mobile devices. ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or applicable work experience2+ years of IT engineering experience including supporting retail specific technologiesStrong experience in managing and monitoring a retail environment of over 1,500+ retail locations across the USStrong team player with proven experience to lead collaborate effectivelyExcellent communication skills; feel comfortable working with non-technical business partnersAble to follow-up, follow through and deliver quality and timely resultsAble to prioritize workloads and adjust schedule to meet deadlinesAble to simultaneously and successfully handle multiple and disparate tasksSolid knowledge of information technology best practices, technical systems and trendsAble to diagnose application, software and hardware problems in person and remotelyMinimal travel required (training/conferences)Project Management experience a strong plusSPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift 30 lbs. The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $110,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
