The Material Handlercontributes to Joern’s daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations and does related work as assigned.Prepares shipping orders and moves materials by operating material handling equipment.Verifies that all orders are filled, packaged and processed correctly.Responsible for transaction accuracyLoad and unload shipments from trucks.Check in, put away, and systematic receipt of inbound shipments. Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.Must be able to work overtime as required.High school diploma or equivalentMust be forklift certified or have the ability to be forklift certified.Must be detail oriented.3-5 years' previous warehouse experienceFamiliar with Lean Manufacturing preferred.Knowledge of computer applicationsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve problems in a practical manner.Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
