Position Qualifications: u2022 Education: Current California license as Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse. Bachelors in nursing degree preferred. u2022 Experience: Two years clinical experience in Utilization Review or Case Management is preferred. u2022 Certification: Must have current BLS. Case management certification is preferred. u2022 Skills/Ability: Working knowledge of managed care requirements, discharge planning and hospital information systems required. Must demonstrate knowledge of current utilization management principles, third party payor review requirements, age-specific principles, discharge planning process, community resources, and title 22 requirements for Social Services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Exhibits the ability to organize work assignments and follow through with accuracy.
