Summary Incumbent is a professional social worker assigned to David Grant Medical Center (DGMC), a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield. Patients served include both Department of Defense (DOD) and VA patients being treated by the Joint Venture Program and may include both inpatients and outpatients. Functions as a subject matter expert providing education, consultation, and mentoring to other clinical personnel and students to be sensitive and responsive to risk factors, as necessary. Provides day-to-day coordination of services within the clinics and teams to which they are assigned. Possess expert knowledge and ability to independently implement specialized treatment modalities, provide counseling or psychotherapy for individuals, families, and groups. Professional skills (highly developed and advances) are routinely used to motivate veterans to resume more effective control of their own life. Has advanced knowledge and expert skill in developing and implementing methods for measuring effectiveness of social work practices and services in specialty areas, utilizing outcome evaluations to improve treatment services.
