The role will focus on Grafana dashboards, alerting, and integrations with GCP, BigQuery, Prometheus, and Oracle datastores. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, SRE, and data teams to translate complex systems data into actionable insights and drive reliability outcomes. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._ Rate: $60.00 to $90.00/hr. w2 #LI-JS1 Responsibilities: + Design, develop, and maintain advanced Grafana dashboards for metrics, logs, and operational insights. + Build and optimize data sources and integrations with Prometheus, Google BigQuery, and Oracle databases. + Define observability standards, KPIs, and SLIs/SLOs in partnership with engineering and SRE teams. + Implement robust alerting strategies to support incident response and proactive monitoring. + Optimize dashboard performance, query efficiency, and data accuracy. + Troubleshoot data issues and improve system visibility in production environments. + Contribute to observability architecture decisions and best practices. + Document solutions and mentor teammates when appropriate. Experience Requirements: + Strong, hands-on experience with Grafana, including dashboards, alerts, templating, and variables. + Proven delivery in production environments. + Experience with Prometheus metrics, exporters, and queries. + Experience with Google Cloud Platform. + Experience with BigQuery, including query optimization and cost awareness. + Experience with Oracle databases or datastores. + Understanding of monitoring concepts, observability patterns, and distributed systems. + Collaboration experience with engineers, SREs, and platform teams. + Strong problem-solving and communication skills. + Experience with Splunk (preferred). + Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform (preferred). + Experience supporting large-scale or high-availability systems (preferred). + Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and production support workflows (preferred). _Recruitment Transparency Notice_ _Eliassen Group values transparency in our recruitment practices.
