Two shifts are available: + First Shift: 5:00 a.m. u2013 1:00 p.m. + Second Shift: 1:00 p.m. u2013 9:00 p.m. Role Overview The Cyber Security Analyst will be a handsu2011on contributor supporting the setup and maturation of a 24/7 SOC. This role goes beyond passive monitoring or report review and is focused on actively improving cyber defense capabilities, controls, and processes. You will monitor, manage, and investigate security alerts, while also helping establish standard operating procedures and best practices to reduce organizational risk. Key Responsibilities + Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts from Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms + Investigate and triage potential threats and security incidents + Actively contribute to the development and implementation of security best practices + Help establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) + Support vulnerability identification and remediation efforts + Partner with internal teams to strengthen cyber controls and improve overall security posture Required / Desired Skills Experience with the following tools or comparable technologies: + SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel preferred) + Configuration, tuning, monitoring, and alert investigation + Vulnerability management tools + Nessus Vulnerability Suite or similar + Endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR) + Microsoft Defender XDR or equivalent Business Need & Impact The organization is standing up a 24/7 SOC and is seeking a higheru2011level skill set capable of shaping how security operations are run. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Murrieta, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
