Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York, on a Contract to permanent position. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable operations, and analyzing grant-related financial data. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and monitor incoming payments to ensure compliance with organizational financial policies. u2022 Accurately verify, classify, and record accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner. u2022 Prepare and submit voucher requests for local, county, and federal funders. u2022 Maintain detailed and accurate portfolios for funders and donors. u2022 Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are properly documented and accounted for. u2022 Generate monthly financial statements and reports to support internal leadership and funding transparency. u2022 Collaborate with internal fiscal teams to ensure financial compliance and accuracy. u2022 Assist with audit preparations for both internal and external reviews. u2022 Analyze and organize financial data using Excel and other tracking tools. u2022 Review grant-related financial documents to ensure accurate reporting and allocation. Requirements u2022 Associateu2019s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required; Bacheloru2019s degree preferred. u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting. u2022 Familiarity with government contracts or grant funding processes is highly desirable. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Excellent analytical and data management abilities. u2022 Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, particularly when reviewing financial documents. u2022 Experience in managing commercial collections or cash applications is a plus.
