Acknowledge ( Job Description: The Airlines and Leisure team is looking for an experienced team member to be based in New York to help cover a dynamic cross-section of the travel and leisure industries. The ideal candidate will have between 1 to 3 years of work experience in either equity research, investment banking, accounting, or a buy side role, with a strong background in accounting, finance, and economics. Specific industry expertise is not needed. The team works closely together, and the candidate will work directly with the Senior Analyst and have exposure to all aspects of equity research including idea generation, maintaining a deep set of industry databases, financial modeling, attending company meetings, and client outreach. Responsibilities + Perform complex financial modeling and valuation work + Maintain a deep set of industry databases including airline network schedules, air fare pricing, Department of Transportation data, global cruise ships in operation, and retail sales of key leisure sub-sectors + Closely follow and understand market, industry and company specific activity, and relay key news headlines and research findings to the Senior Analyst + Write regular industry and company reports + Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment + Work with Senior Analyst to develop key industry and company themes + Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies + Participate and contribute to client meetings and events + Seek out new and different sources of information + A solid understanding of the fundamentals and industry will allow for regular interaction with clients Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s Degree or equivalent years of experience + Min 1-3 years of work experience in either equity research, investment banking, accounting, or a buy side role + Must have an interest in the public markets and regularly follow the stock market + Strong writing and modeling skills.
