Job Title: Machine Operator / Assembler (1st or 2nd) ($19-21/hr.) Job Description This role involves operating automated metal fabrication equipment and performing light assembly in a clean, modern manufacturing facility. You will offload and inspect parts from laser and press brake machines, handle various steel products, and assemble tables using hand tools while following detailed work instructions. Openings are available on both 1st and 2nd shift for machine operators, as well as a 1st shift assembler position, with occasional overtime on Fridays. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Working (4) 10 hour shifts with overtime available on Friday. We also offer perfect attendance bonuses. Apply Today Responsibilities + Operate automated laser and press brake machines to process steel parts according to production requirements. + Offload finished parts from laser and press brake machines safely and efficiently. + Unload various steel products from machines and move them to designated areas. + Lift up to 30 lbs repetitively as a machine operator and up to 40 lbs in the assembler role. + Stack parts neatly and securely to maintain an organized workflow and safe work area. + Perform quality checks on parts to ensure they meet specifications and standards. + Work on a press brake to bend material as needed, following job instructions and safety guidelines. + Assemble tables using hand tools, following detailed work instructions and production standards. + Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail. + Remain on your feet for most of the shift, with some tasks performed at a bench. + Follow written and verbal work instructions to complete tasks correctly and on time. + Cross-train and support other departments such as assembly and shipping as needed. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with facility safety procedures. + Wear required personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots, at all times on the production floor. + Support a positive team environment by communicating effectively with coworkers and supervisors and contributing to continuous improvement. Essential Skills + Experience working in a manufacturing environment. + Machine operator experience in a production or industrial setting. + Ability to lift 30 lbs repetitively, and up to 40 lbs for assembly tasks. + Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently. + Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures. + Strong attention to detail for performing quality checks and assembling parts correctly. + Reliability and consistent attendance to support production schedules. + Ownership of and willingness to wear steel toe boots while on the production floor. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience operating press brake or laser machines is a plus. + Experience working with steel products is a plus. + Comfort using hand tools for assembly work. + Ability to work 1st shift (Mondayu2013Thursday, 6:00 a.m.u20134:30 p.m.) or 2nd shift (Mondayu2013Thursday, 4:30 p.m.u20133:00 a.m.), with overtime on Fridays as needed. + Willingness to cross-train in assembly and shipping to support changing production needs. Work Environment The role is based in a new, clean, and well-lit manufacturing facility that focuses on safety and organization. All primary machines are automated, and you will work with steel products, laser machines, press brakes, and standard hand tools for assembly. The production floor can be cold at times due to large bay doors being open, so you should be comfortable working in variable temperatures. You will spend most of the shift on your feet, with some tasks performed at benches. Steel toe boots are required as part of the standard dress code on the shop floor.
