Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Baxley, Georgia. This is a Contract to permanent position designed for a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting expertise and proficiency in NetSuite. The role requires a proactive person who can efficiently manage financial tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and oversee accounts payable activities, including vendor payments. u2022 Manage accounts receivable by preparing and issuing customer invoices. u2022 Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and proper reporting. u2022 Support month-end closing procedures by preparing financial statements and reports. u2022 Serve as a liaison between plant operations and corporate accounting to streamline processes. u2022 Track and reconcile inventory for approximately 1,000 SKUs, ensuring data integrity. u2022 Assist with organizing and conducting physical inventory counts. u2022 Maintain detailed inventory records, including tagging, counting, and reconciliation uploads. u2022 Utilize NetSuite to structure and manage inventory data, ensuring seamless integration. u2022 Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure inventory and cost data accuracy. Requirements u2022 Demonstrated experience in corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing corporate tax returns. u2022 Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger. u2022 Hands-on experience with NetSuite software for accounting and inventory management. u2022 Strong knowledge of vendor payment processes and accounts payable (AP). u2022 Expertise in handling accounts receivable (AR) and customer invoicing. u2022 Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve financial goals. u2022 Familiarity with inventory tracking and reconciliation processes.
