Description Thriving financial services firm is looking for an Assistant Controller who can develop, document and maintain internal controls and financial procedures while supporting the Controller and finance leadership team. In this Assistant Controller role, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient month-end close processes, adherence to internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. This candidate will also, manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, review manufacturing costs, analyze material usage, and supervise and mentor staff. The ideal Assistant Controller for this role must have knowledge of GAAP, current industry trends, and excellent auditing skills. Your responsibilities u00b7 Oversee the daily cash flow process u00b7 Prepare financial packages u00b7 Coordinate the quarter, month, year-end process u00b7 Budgeting & Forecasting u00b7 Conduct internal audits u00b7 Design and implement effective internal controls u00b7 Account Reconciliation u00b7 Prepare financial statements u00b7 Implement process improvement where needed u00b7 Prepare financial audits and review with external auditors Requirements The ideal Assistant Controller will have a Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
