Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant in the Augusta area. This role involves working closely with the Corporate Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations. u2022 Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Review financial documents for compliance and resolve discrepancies as needed. u2022 Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Maintain and reconcile fixed assets, recording additions and disposals appropriately. u2022 Support external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing inquiries. u2022 Analyze fiscal data to track financial performance and provide actionable insights. u2022 Collaborate with the Controller and team members to enhance internal processes and implement cost-effective improvements. u2022 Execute special projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller, ensuring timely completion. u2022 Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance. u2022 A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. u2022 Proficiency in general ledger accounting and financial reporting. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex datasets. u2022 Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines. u2022 Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members across departments. u2022 Experience with Sage and/or Access software is a plus. u2022 Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
