Senior Grant Analyst - Pre & Post Award Grant Administration (PSS2/PSS3), Department of Biomedical Sciences (CMSRU) Job no: 500641 Work type: Regular Full-Time Location: Camden, New Jersey Categories: Professional The Senior Grant Analyst is responsible for providing proposal and financial support services to meet the needs of the Department and its Faculty. The Senior Grant Analyst reports directly to the Director in CMSRU Department of Biomedical Sciences (BMS). The Senior Grant Analyst will focus heavily on compliance, reporting, and variance analysis functions. The Senior Grant Analyst will interface with various University departments such as Office of Sponsored Programs Pre and Post Award, HR, Payroll, Purchasing & Procurement, and Accounts Payable. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: PRE-AWARD GRANT ADMINISTRATION: Initiate and manage external grant proposals in Cayuse. Preparation of proposals to external sponsors. Develop proposal budget. Insure administrative and regulatory compliance. Create and upload grant submission materials into Cayuse. Aiding with preparation of sub-awards, consulting agreements, and related documents. Work with the Office of Sponsored Programs, Pre-Award Staff to ensure timely and complete submission of proposals. Complete other duties as assigned by BMS Director. EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and Grant Proposal, Pre & Post Award Pre-Award, or Research Administration experience. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an institution of higher education or not for profit industry preferred. Experience with grants.gov, NSF FastLane, Proposal Central as well as other sponsor proposal systems. The Senior Grant Analyst should have a comprehensive understanding of research administration with in-depth knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance and other research regulatory requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: Proficiency in spreadsheet (Excel), and accounting software (preferably Ellucian Banner). Strong work ethic with a defined sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability for job duties. Ability to organize assigned work, analyze problems, and develop appropriate work methods. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. NOTE: The final position level will be aligned with the chosen candidate's professional background, technical proficiency, experience, and other relevant qualifications.
