Happy Daz Restaurants is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team!The Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting daily restaurant operations, developing team members, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This position works closely with the General Manager to drive operational excellence, maintain high standards of safety and quality, and build a positive, accountable team culture.Responsibilities will include but, may not be limited to:Supporting and assisting the General Manager, on an as-needed basis with scheduling, inventory, ordering, cost control, crew management, interviewing and hiring, and orientationSharing in the responsibility of daily operations, with an emphasis on customer service, drive time, direct labor, and cost of goodsFacilitating crew member training and cross-training, following up regularly with trainers and trainees to promote consistency and employee retentionPrioritizing safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the restaurantEnsuring compliance with all food and beverage regulationsSupporting as needed in all positions throughout the restaurantDeveloping relationships with dine-in, and drive-thru guestsHolding crew accountable for attendance, uniforms, prep, portioning, product rotation, date labelling, and cleaning and sanitationUpholding the company's Progressive Discipline Policy, supporting supervisors' first-level disciplinary action, as well as issuing second level-and-above discipline as neededHandling guest complaints using GRACE to provide a quality customer experienceAttending and actively participating in management meetingsLeading the team through example by upholding company policies, service standards, and health department regulationsOffering constructive feedback and positive reinforcement to hourly crew members throughout each shift and through the use of employee evaluationsPromoting successful store communication through regular use of email, shift recaps, Hot Schedules, written notices, etc.Requirements:Must be 18 years old, with 1-2 years supervisory or management experienceMust have open availability and be open to a changing scheduleKnowledge of, or certificate in, safe food handling proceduresExperience leading a diverse team of peopleExperience with training and mentoring team membersRecord of exceptional attendance, reliability, and scheduling flexibilityUpbeat, positive, and team-oriented demeanorAttention to detail and desire to lead others by exampleAbility to communicate effectively with hourly team members and other managersWork Environment:The position is full time, salaryThe position will report to the General ManagerWhat We Offer:Happy Daz provides a fun and family-friendly work environment.
