Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An interim Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position is available for a retail pharmacy attached to a hospital in Hibbing, MN. This role serves as the working manager, providing leadership and direct patient care in a lower-volume setting focused on discharge medications for hospital patients. Location: Hibbing, MN Schedule: Monday to Friday Day shift only (no nights or weekends) Duration: 13-week contract, starting ASAP Responsibilities: Verify, fill, and check prescriptions accurately and efficiently Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians Consult with healthcare providers regarding medication therapies Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards Qualifications/Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist with the ability to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge Experience working in a retail pharmacy setting, preferably within or attached to a hospital Strong leadership skills to manage pharmacy operations and personnel Strong communication skills for patient counseling and collaboration with healthcare providers Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance This contract offers the opportunity to lead a focused pharmacy operation and ensure excellent care delivery in a hospital-affiliated outpatient setting.
