Job Title

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machining Team Lead to assist in leading the 1s shift production machining team. This role plays a key part in coordinating shift startup, supporting scheduling efforts, and ensuring production goals and quality standards are met under the direction of the Machining Supervisor.Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC machines and perform machine setups as required. Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and ensure compliance with quality standards. Verify first-piece inspections and ensure operators complete check sheets accurately. Maintain daily production records and documentation. Assist in coordinating workflow and scheduling during shifts. Provide guidance and support to a team of 10-15 operators. Troubleshoot machine issues and ensure efficient operation. Train and mentor machine operators (A, B, and C levels). Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain awareness to prevent injury. Support implementation and maintenance of 5S and housekeeping standards. Assist operators with equipment setup, including gages. Communicate effectively with management regarding production, personnel, and improvement opportunities. Review and update time and attendance records in Job Boss. Complete Time Variance Forms when the supervisor is absent.Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including dimensions, tolerances, and revisions. Strong understanding of quality inspection tools and techniques. Strong Leadership or team lead experience preferred. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
