JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a hands-on Shipping & Logistics Manager to lead inbound / outbound logistics across four manufacturing plants. This role is responsible for ensuring trailers are shipped on time, accurately, and cost-effectively while supporting production flow and store delivery expectations. This position will beon-site in Nampa, Idaho. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Lead all shipping operations across four plants, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveriesSupervise and develop one direct report responsible for scheduling and coordinationCoordinate daily with production, sales, and customer service to align shipment timingWork with our 3rd Party company to plan loads, routes, and carrier usage to maximize efficiency and reduce freight costsManage carrier relationships and negotiate rates and service levelsTrack and improve key metrics (on-time delivery, freight cost, damage rates)Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and trailer load securement standardsOversee shipping documentation (BOLs, invoices, etc.)Resolve shipping issues quickly and maintain high service levelsStandardize processes across all plants to drive consistency and scalabilityPerforms other duties as assigned.SKILLSTime managementAbility to solve basic problems, communicate properly, handle and diffuse difficult situationsTroubleshootingAttention to detailStrong mechanical abilityQuality customer serviceSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has supervisory responsibilities.TRAVEL REQUIREDThis job may require periodic travel to other manufacturing plants or store locations as needed.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed in the essential duties and responsibilities section are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE5+ years of shipping, logistics, or transportation experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience managing broker relationships and operations across multiple locations preferredPrior leadership experience (direct reports required)Knowledge of flatbed, trailer, or heavy equipment shipping is a plusAbility to prioritize, problem-solve, and operate in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Excel and ERP/logistics systems (NetSuite)LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Also important is the ability to write occasional reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with customers or PUTER SKILLSProficient in Excel, ERP/Logistics Systems, and Google Suite. REASONING ABILITYMust be able to communicate and assist in the resolution of practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
