Assignments may vary based on student needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Responsibilities may include:Assisting students with lesson comprehension and classroom activitiesProviding one-on-one or small group supportReinforcing instruction and re-teaching concepts as directedSupporting students who require close supervision or special assistancePromoting positive behavior and helping maintain a productive learning environmentWorking under the supervision of a licensed professional (such as a Special Education Teacher)QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following requirements:Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree (or higher), ORSuccessful completion of an approved paraprofessional assessmentAdditional qualifications:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with staff and studentsCommitment to supporting students of all abilitiesCompensationStarting pay:$15.20 - $22.00+ per hourPay is based on education and relevant experienceBenefitsEligible Educational Assistants receive:Paid time offHoliday pay (after one year of employment)Longevity bonus beginning after the second year of employmentHealth, Dental, and Vision insurance options starting Day One401(k) retirement savings plan after one year of employmentAutomatic enrollment in Penmac’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) (must work 1,000 hours annually)How to
