Description :Department Overview:The Recovery and Resolution Plan (RRP) group manages the Recovery and Resolution Plan for TD Bank's US entities. This group functions under the US Treasury. The Recovery and Resolution Plan is governed by guidelines issued by US regulatory agencies and must be submitted to regulators according to established deadlines. These plans are comprehensive and necessitate coordinated engagement with stakeholders throughout the Bank. The Resolution Plan submission requires Stress scenario projection that is designed to ensure that the Bank can be liquidated in an orderly manner without causing wider adverse impacts on the financial systems. The Recovery Plan requires submitting results from a severe stress scenario to demonstrate the Bank's ability to recover from significant losses in liquidity and capital.The Senior Manager II, Recovery and Resolution Planning oversees a team of RRP practitioners in execution and oversight of the most complex frameworks, policies, strategies and processes related to recovery and resolution planning.Depth & Scope:Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as requiredOversees and leads the most complex and diverse function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business resultsDevelops appropriate scenarios for Recovery and Resolution plans for Banks legal entitiesDevelops and administers multi- stakeholder tests under programs.Oversees the development of whole testing streams to support crisis capabilities and or resolvability of the Bank.Manages and oversees the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practicesProvides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertiseStrategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external / internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management / enterprise areasFacilitates key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.)Sets operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goalsFocuses on longer-range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater)Education & Experience:Undergraduate degree required12+ years of experiencePreferred Qualifications:12+ years of experience with Finance and/or Treasury experience preferredA professional financial designation like CPA or CFA is preferredCustomer Accountabilities:Provides leadership to all strategic, operational, and business activities across the recovery and resolution planning functionMonitors regulatory landscape for changes impacting recovery and resolution planning and assesses their impact on current processes, practices and plansOversees the development and execution of complex Recovery and Resolution Planning strategies and assessmentsOversees the development of whole testing streams to support crisis capabilities and/or resolvability of the BankActs as the liaison between internal stakeholders (Capital, Liquidity, Risk, etc.) and external advisorsCo-ordinates RRP's development of recovery and resolution plans and other applicable documentsActs as subject matter expert for own area and provide guidance/ advice and recommendations to support dealings with internal/external partnersParticipates on internal/external committees to provide advice/counsel to partners and represents the interests of the BankShareholder Accountabilities:Works with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD’s operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scalePlans and executes on strategic activities, reviews and communicates results, and adjusts tactics accordinglyExecutes on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategiesProactively identifies key business opportunities, researches and contributes to the continuous improvement of all frameworks, processes, and procedures across Recovery & Resolution Planning Protect the interests of the organization - identifies and manages risks, and escalates non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessaryKeeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impactsEnsures employees are knowledgeable;
