There’s a reason HUNTER is recognized as a PRWeek Best Place To Work and has been named PRovoke “Consumer Agency of the Year” not once, but twice: At HUNTER, we EARN IT — consumer attention, the trust and loyalty of clients, and the dedication of our staff, currently 350+ strong and counting.An Account Executive plays an important role in the execution and management of client projects, including media outreach; interfacing with client representatives; and supervising team members.Manage client PR projectsUnderstand the resources and tools needed to achieve the clients’ marketing/PR objectives; complete tasks that meet objectivesCoordinate internal and external resources, vendors, etc.Advise team members on developments; proactively update the team on statusMake recommendations for ways to meet client needsPlan and manage logistics for client press events and serve as a representative of the client and agency on-siteBe conscious of clients’ program budgets and keep time and expenses on-trackAttend and actively participate in client calls and meetingsInterface with clientsAccommodate and anticipate client needsRespond to requests for information from clients in a timely mannerConduct traditional and social media relations outreachDemonstrate an understanding of the media landscape, including social media, and how to use these to drive brand awareness and engagement for clientsProactively share newsjacking opportunitiesDraft press materials including but not limited to pitches, media lists, executive prep docs and talking pointsEngage with reporters and bloggers in the consumer, lifestyle, and parenting space, secure media placementsBuild and maintain relationships with traditional and social media contacts on behalf of the agency and clientsMonitor, track and, compile program results to provide analysisCollaborate closely with senior team members to brainstorm creative ideas and execute integrated communications plansParticipate in agency brainstorm sessions for client programsDevelop strategic/creative thinking skillsActively participate in agency committees or departments as designated/askedParticipate in agency projects and eventsAssist in the creation of new business and/or business renewal presentationsDevelop and foster relationships with suppliersAssist with account administration tasks, as needed, such as compilation of agendas and action items, media coverage reports, coordination and set-up of client meetings, product shipments, etc.Ability to:Understand the clients’ business and relevant industry trends, and use the information to inform interactions and program developmentManage multiple projects across multiple accountsPrioritize work, meet deadlines and actively communicate progress and deliverables (i.e. time management)Travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquartersDemonstrate solid writing, editing, presentation and interpersonal communication skillsShow integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clientsB.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the likeTwo (2) to three (3) years of experience in a public relations agency or similar positionProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proven media relations experience, including pitching and securing coverage in consumer/lifestyle outletsHighly organized with excellent project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentPassion for technology, social media, and the digital landscapeIn order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $58,500-70,000.
