DescriptionWe're seeking a talented commercial real estate lawyer to fill the position of Corporate Counsel u2013 Real Estate/Colocation. In this pivotal role, you'll be the legal architect transforming cloud computing infrastructure through strategic real estate transactions and comprehensive legal support. Key job responsibilities - Structure, draft, and negotiate complex real estate agreements supporting AWS's worldwide data center portfolio - Provide comprehensive legal counsel on transactional matters, interpreting contracts with precision and strategic insight - Manage external counsel relationships and oversee portfolio of real estate transactions - Develop and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and legal operations - Resolve legal challenges in commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation inquiries A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of legal strategy and business collaboration. By joining us, you'll work alongside passionate professionals who are reshaping the technological landscape, one legal agreement at a time.Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of legal experience - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate transactional documents (i.e. leases, lease amendments, purchase and sale agreements, easements, development agreements, co-ownership agreements etc.)Preferred Qualifications- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work - Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines - Experience with Zoning and Land Use work Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
