Own and deliver the operational budget for functional area, including safety, productivity, financial and labor planning, and operational goals for outbound, or inbound operations 2. Responsible for providing strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out) including labor planning, rate forecasting, and peak season planning 3. Drive continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects that have total building and networkwide impact. Effectively leverage the Operations and Area Managers to solicit ideas and understand problems and challenges in the building. 4. Network with other leaders across the network to solicit and share process improvements and drive efficiencies and cost savings. 5. Establish objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience 6. Set clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable 7. Mentor and develop leaders and staff 8. Participate in recruiting to identify and evaluate associates and internal/external candidates for promotion and hire. 9. Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Maintenance Engineering, Safety, IT and other leaders) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives 10. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bacheloru2019s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related technical field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include: u2022 3 years of direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or logistics environment u2022 3 years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies u2022 3 years of experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $148,500- $200,900 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
