Description We are looking for an Inventory Clerk to support accurate material control and stock accountability in New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone with hands-on inventory experience who can keep records current, assist production-related inventory activities, and help maintain organized inventory processes. The role requires a dependable individual who can work carefully with physical counts, asset records, and inventory tracking tasks while supporting daily operational needs. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking incoming, stored, and issued materials across operational areas. u2022 Perform routine cycle counts and support full annual physical inventory activities to confirm stock accuracy. u2022 Monitor inventory used by assembly line operations and help ensure materials are available when needed. u2022 Investigate quantity differences, reconcile discrepancies, and update records to reflect verified counts. u2022 Organize and document asset inventory information to support internal accountability and reporting needs. u2022 Assist with inventory audits by preparing count data, reviewing documentation, and confirming item details. u2022 Coordinate with team members to identify slow-moving, excess, or missing items and escalate concerns appropriately. u2022 Follow established inventory procedures to keep storage areas orderly, clearly labeled, and easy to audit. Requirements u2022 At least 1 year of experience in inventory control, stockroom support, or a related clerical operations role. u2022 Working knowledge of inventory tracking practices, including item counting, record updates, and discrepancy review. u2022 Experience supporting asset inventory activities and annual physical inventory processes. u2022 Ability to work accurately with numbers, item details, and inventory documentation in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Comfortable supporting material tracking for production or assembly-related operations. u2022 Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage routine inventory tasks consistently and reliably. u2022 Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers regarding inventory issues, count results, and material availability.
