Job Title: Manager of Food ServicesDepartment: Food and Nutrition ServicesLocation: Unity HospitalHours Per Week: 40Schedule: 11:30am to 8pmSign-On Bonus: N/A Position Summary:Responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and/or retail areas. Provides leadership and direction to the Supervisors and food service staff. Handles all scheduling and payroll for the entire department, and assumes the leadership role. Works collaboratively with either the Director of Food & Nutrition or the Vice President of Food & Nutrition, develops objectives, goals, and policies & procedures while maintaining sufficient inventory for the department. Key Responsibilities:u2022 In conjunction with either the Food Service Director or Vice President of Food & Nutrition, develops objectives, goals, and policies & procedures while maintaining sufficient inventory for the department.u2022 Implements necessary measures to achieve stated objectives and goals, following through to assure that objectives are met or exceeded.u2022 Responsible for quality assurance duties, specifically related to service operations and maintaining good customer relations.u2022 Responsible for scheduling of all department staff, while maintains staffing at appropriate, productive levels.u2022 Maintains the automated payroll for the department.u2022 Must be able to problem, solve and interact with multiple disciplines daily.u2022 Responsible for interview and selection process.u2022 Responsible for progressive discipline of subordinate staff utilizing RRH Human Resources policies and leadership staff assistance.u2022 Determines the staffu2019s job objectives, work methods, and performance standards.u2022 Delegates to each supervisor, sufficient authority to perform his/her job functions within their designated area which includes but not limited to performing evaluations, discipline, and staff training and coaching.u2022 Food Service Director or Vice President of Food & Nutrition is kept informed of Human Resources issues.u2022 Assures the appropriate standards of DNV, DOH, OSHA and other regulatory agencies.u2022 Ensures that all RRH and departmental policies and procedures are followed by all departmental staff on fair and consistent basis.u2022 May be accountable for retail operations, cash controls and financial reportingu2022 Performs other duties as assigned. Desired Attributes:u2022 AAS in Food/Nutritional Services preferred.u2022 Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred.u2022 5-7 years of food production and retail experience preferred.u2022 Strong leadership and organizational skills in daily operations. Minimum Qualifications:u2022 High School diploma or GED required. Required Licensure/Certification:u2022 American National Standards Institute accredited Food Safety Certification within 3 to 6 months of hire (i.e. Always Food Safe). EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $62,400.00 - $72,800.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
