Job Title: Inventory Clerk Location: Bensenville, IL Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am u2013 4:30pm Pay Rate: $24/hour Position Overview: We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team in Bensenville, IL. The Inventory Clerk will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating discrepancies, and supporting our ongoing warehouse relocation process. This is an onsite role that offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: + Count and verify merchandise in stock, posting totals to inventory records with precision. + Compare physical inventories to office records and reconcile discrepancies using documents such as sales orders, production records, and purchase invoices. + Investigate and report inventory discrepancies; correct operational errors to ensure accuracy. + Generate regular reports detailing inventory balances and shortages. + Prepare lists of depleted, defective, or unusable items and recommend appropriate actions. + Communicate findings clearly to both management and operational teams. + Support process improvements related to inventory accuracy during our current facility move. Must-Have Technical Skills: + Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. + Ability to identify and correct inventory discrepancies efficiently. + Proficient recordkeeping and basic math skills. Preferred Technical Skills: + Good computer/technology skills, with the ability to learn new inventory systems quickly. + Experience with inventory management software is a plus. + Comfort with using spreadsheets and digital reporting tools. Soft Skills & Team Fit: + Hard-working and reliable, with the ability to thrive in a sometimes chaotic environment. + Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. + Adaptable and willing to handle changing priorities during warehouse relocation. Education & Experience Requirements: + High School Diploma or GED required. + Minimum 1 year of related inventory experience, preferably within food and distribution industries. Industry Background: + Candidates from food companies, distribution centers, or similar environments are preferred. Work Environment: + Onsite position at our Bensenville, IL facility. + Supplier site visits are allowed. Training: + One week of on-the-job training provided.
