Job Description Perform skilled work requiring the application of standard trade practices in maintaining, installing, and repairing a variety of plumbing and heating systems fixtures. u2003ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES u2003u2003u2022 Locate and mark underground water, sewer, and gas lines owned and operated by the University as required for BUD locates and other excavation work. u2003u2003u2022 Install all types of plumbing systems and piping systems as required by the University, including but not limited to sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, appliances, water conditioners, faucets, showers, pumping systems, valves, and piping, including supports and hangers. u2003u2003u2022 Repair and maintain all sorts of plumbing systems and piping systems as required by the University, including but not limited to sinks, lavatories, water heaters, appliances, water conditioning equipment, faucets, valves, showers, pumping systems and equipment, as well as various piping systems with varied materials and uses. u2003u2003u2022 Test piping systems and fixtures for leaks. Repairs and maintenance shall meet all environmental protection requirements and codes. Review plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems. u2003u2003u2022 Apply all codes to work performed, and prepare lists of materials used and needed. Keep daily reports and logs, and other paperwork as required, order materials for jobs, and complete other responsibilities as assigned.
