Job Title: Structural DesignerJob Description We are seeking a talented Structural Designer to join our Power Group, contributing to the structural design of power-related facilities and infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with skilled structural engineers on a variety of projects, including substations, power generation facilities, utility buildings, equipment foundations, and other critical structures. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical design skills, experience in structural drafting and modeling, and a keen interest in power and utility infrastructure. Responsibilities + Prepare structural drawings, design calculations, and specifications for substations, electrical utility facilities, equipment foundations, control buildings, and ancillary structures. + Utilize computer-assisted engineering design software and equipment to develop and document structural designs. + Coordinate with engineers, CAD technicians, clients, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure complete and accurate project deliverables. + Research design options and materials; assist with developing technical solutions that meet client and project requirements. + Review and check design drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance following established QA/QC procedures. + Support preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and project documentation. + Participate in project meetings and maintain professional communication with internal teams and external clients. + Maintain organized project files, documentation, and calculations in accordance with company standards. + Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and efficient work environment. Essential Skills + Strong skills in structural engineering, Revit, and structural design. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. + 10+ years of structural design experience within power or telecom sectors. + Degree in structural engineering or a related field. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with power and utility infrastructure projects. + Ability to maintain professional and effective communication with team members and clients. + Strong organizational skills to manage project files and documentation. Work Environment The position offers a flexible work environment with remote or hybrid options for the right candidate. Attendance at the office is required for meetings and other collaborative activities. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
