Senior Analyst, Sponsorship Budget & Operations New York, NY, United States(Hybrid) Job Description The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. The Global Brand Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing team sits within GABM and leads 40+ partnerships globally, delivering best-in-class ticket access, live event and digital engagement platforms across Card Member and Prospect passion points of sports, music, theater and various other cultural interests. Sponsorship Measurement & Investment Management Team The sponsorship measurement & investment management team supports the full Global Brand Sponsorships & Experiential (GBSE) team in measuring the efficacy of its events and partnerships and effectively managing a large-scale budget and ensuring strategic financial decisions are made for the future. The GBSE portfolio spans sports, music, and entertainment, including F1, NBA, USTA, Brighton, global music festivals (Coachella, BST Hyde Park), the Amex Venue Collection TM , top music artists, among others. The budget & operations role is the day-to-day contact for all vertical (e.g., F1, NBA, etc.) budget owners as well as the GABM Financial Planning team. This role will play an integral role in setting the investment strategy in support of the Director. They are also charged with enabling our creative assets via a compliant marketing approval process. Responsibilities + Manage the full sponsorship budget, inclusive of maintenance of the investment management tracker that accounts for key financial details (adjustments, spend offers, risks, and accruals). + Liaise with 10+ vertical budget owners to ensure each individual budget is managed and utilized compliantly and effectively, inclusive of leading monthly meetings with each vertical. + Lead the development of sponsorship budget materials that are shared with leadership team and the GABM Financial Planning team to inform budget calendarization, utilization, and invoicing. + Lead weekly meetings with the GABM Financial Planning team to ensure all budget processes are followed, budget issues on the sponsorship team are quickly solved or appropriately escalated, and that sponsorship budget is accurately reported to GABM leadership. + Support strategic financial planning workstreams (e.g., long range planning and annual plan, etc.) to help ensure sponsorship budget is accurately reported and strategic decision making is employed. + Support vertical teams in compliance processes around marketing assets, Marketing Force and CGT. + Support larger measurement team in campaign reporting and portfolio wide measurement efforts, when bandwidth allows.
