Job Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Product Owner – Banking & Payments (Agile, API) position for our client. **Location:** Piscataway, NJ **Duration:** 11 months **Duties:** + Serve as Product Owner for banking and payments initiatives, with a focus on credit card and transaction processing capabilities. + Own and manage the product backlog, including creation, prioritization, and refinement of Features, Epics, and User Stories in JIRA. + Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, business partners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into actionable deliverables. + Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. + Develop detailed documentation including process flows, user journey maps, and functional specifications. + Partner with UX/UI designers and customer research teams to ensure delivery of intuitive, customer-centric digital experiences. + Work with engineering teams to define and validate API requirements, including reviewing Swagger/OpenAPI documentation. + Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, data analysis, and decision-making processes. + Analyze customer feedback, product metrics, and operational data to drive continuous product improvement. + Ensure alignment between business goals, regulatory requirements, and technical solutions within the banking domain. **Skills:** + Strong working knowledge of JIRA, with the ability to effectively manage Epics, Features, and User Stories. + Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and product ownership best practices. + Solid understanding of API concepts, including Swagger/OpenAPI documentation. + Strong documentation skills, including process flows, user journey maps, and functional requirements. + Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX/UI, and business stakeholders. + Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and data interpretation capabilities. + Experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and decision-making. + Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. **Experience:** + Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments. + Prior experience in the banking domain, preferably with credit cards or payments systems. + Experience working with API-driven platforms and integrations. + Demonstrated success in translating complex business requirements into deliverable product features. + Nice to have: Banking and Cards domain background. + _Background check required._ **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). The expected base salary for this position ranges from $47.00 to $50.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
