Eatonu2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 per hour. The core hours are 6:30am - 3:30 pm. What youu2019ll do: This Material Handler will assist in distributing out our materials for our electrical metering, relaying and transformer components into medium voltage (5-38kv) switchgear assemblies as well as device wiring. In this function you will: u2022 Operate a forklift to move raw materials and WIP on pallets from one location to another. u2022 Organize queue areas for WIP. u2022 Proactively stage material in production areas to minimize operator time wasted when searching for parts. u2022 Assist with checking in and loading job carts and processing surplus material returns. u2022 Build crates for miscellaneous orders as needed. u2022 Perform driving duties as necessary to pick up supplies for the shop or parts for outsourcing. u2022 Focus on continuous improvement and accomplishing team/plant goals; participate in Kaizen events.
