The Head Start Pathway Specialist works independently on comprehensive case management activities for families in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards. The position advises and assists individuals and families with a variety of issues and/or challenges through the Family Partnership and Agreement Plan. The Head Start Pathway Specialist creates, provides, and coordinates services and activities with families and communities that foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being.1.A. Pathway Specialist I: Bachelor's in family studies, child development, social work or a related field is required, plus one year of ECS case management experience.B.Pathway Specialist II: Associate degree in family studies, child development , social work or related field is required, plus one year of ECS case management experience.C.Pathway Specialist III: High school diploma or GED, is required . Must obtain a Credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or Or a related field within eighteen (18) months of hire.2.. General understanding of community history, traditions, and beliefs is preferred. 3.Understands the causes and effects of poverty as they apply to early growth and family relations is preferred.4.Knowledge and understanding of human services program management, including program planning, special needs programs, and utilizing community resources is required.5.Must have excellent oral and written communication and organizational puter literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet and e communications are highly preferred.7.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
